Polina is a cinematographer and a multi-disciplinary filmmaker based in Berlin. She is from Eastern Europe and specializes in the region (School of Slavonic and Eastern European Studies, UCL). After a career in public policy, she turned to visual storytelling in 2015.
In filmmaking, Polina has been drawn to stories that examine identity, belonging, normative questions in relationships between individuals, between individual and society, and between people and the planet.
Over the last decade, she has helped organizations like Amnesty International, the World Bank, OXFAM, Greenpeace, OSF, ODIHR and others tell their stories and amplify universal humanism and justice. Her documentary films have been broadcast on TV and screened at international festivals, including One World and WatchDocs.​​​​​​​
